Civil Contingencies Conference 2010

It’s the last day to register for the Civil Contingencies Conference 2010, which is being held at the QEII Centre in Westminster tomorrow. The programme includes talks from Huw Irranca-Davies MP, Minister for Marine and Natural Environment, Defra and Cristine Scott the new Director, Civil Contingencies Secretariat, Cabinet Office.

GemaTech will be running a seminar on telecoms resilience, looking at both the reasons for implementing a resilient telecoms solution as well as how to comply with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. An added bonus session will be recommendations on how to engage local authority procurement departments in order to turn plans into reality led by an ex-procurement manager from a local authority.

Technology does not have to be complicated to plan and implement, and this seminar will show how to engage the relevant people to make it happen with a powerful business case so that when the office gets flooded, the ‘last mile’ telephone cable is cut, or employees can’t get to work because of the snow, the phone can still be answered and essential public services still provided.

If you are unable to make the conference you can still sign up for our newsletter which will have the content from the seminar available FREE in our next issue.
