One particular keynote session has caught my attention in light of recent flooding in the UK:
‘One year on from the government’s response to Sir Michael Pitt’s Review, Huw Irranca-Davies will discuss what has been achieved, with particular discussion of the draft Flood and Water Management bill. The centre-piece of this response, the bill promises to create a simpler and more effective means of managing the risk of flood and coastal erosion.’
A ‘Strategic Framework and Policy Statement on Improving the Resilience of Critical Infrastructure to Disruption from Natural Hazards’ document has been released for consultation to which GemaTech is responding by the deadline of the 18th January.
