How would your business cope if your employees could not get into the office because the roads are icy due to a lack of grit? Today the AA has made a bold claim that half of the UK’s local authorities only have enough road salt for six days of continuous freezing. Government Employs ‘Just-In-Time’ Grit Strategy
It appears that the government’s strategy is not to stockpile grit but to operate a ‘just-in-time’ strategy – the same strategy which left many people stranded at home, or struggling to get into work on February 2nd this year. Myself included. Had the minor roads been gritted as well as the major routes, I would have not sacrificed hours of my time getting to and from work.
